Breast Sonographer

Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Sonographer, you will utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care.

Every day you will directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans. You will meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images. You will monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort, select and examine images for pathologies, and present preliminary findings to Physicians.

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent patient service and communication skills, sharp eyesight, and meticulous attention to detail. You will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, sound judgment, and advanced decision-making skills to effectively capture and interpret sonographic data, ensuring optimal diagnostic support.

• Perform precision ultrasound studies on all patients
• Responsible for daily quality control of the ultrasound units
• Communicate with Biomed when repairs are needed; communicate such to Coordinator and Director.
• Manage documentation, data entry and charges for all breast ultrasound procedures
• Assist with development of policy and procedures for breast ultrasound
• Responsible for daily restocking of ultrasound room

Job RequirementsRequired

• High School Graduate General Studies and 2 years’ experience under radiologists supervision, upon hire or
• High School GED General Studies and 2 years’ experience under radiologists supervision, upon hire
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire and
• Registered Technologist Breast Sonography, upon hire or
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Breast, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

$30.76 - $45.76 /hour
