Job Purpose

Perform demonstrations of proprietary respiratory devices of Cipla to provide awareness to patients, doctors and other relevant stakeholders on the correct usage techniques of the device thus creating a positive environment for sales growth

Key Accountabilities

Provide support to doctors on the usage techniques of respiratory diagnosis and treatment devices by conducting demos, to promote device usage and sales

• Conduct field visits to doctors, clinicians, chest physicians, general physicians, hospitals etc. as per the tour plan provided by the first line manager
• Prioritize key doctors to visit for the day and conduct demos for Cipla’s respiratory diagnosis devices (such as Peak Flow Meters and Spirometer) to educate them on the usage techniques
• Influence the doctors on ease of usage to facilitate more doctor prescriptions hence driving device sales for the region
• Provide support and training to doctors on correctly interpreting the spirometer/ device readings
• Identify devices which are out of function, by receiving user complaints (such as device discoloration, out of order etc.) and escalate such complaints to Product Manager and FLM

Provide demos to patients on the usage techniques of respiratory devices to enhance awareness

• Conduct Breathe Free clinics regularly to educate the patients on lung capacity and various respiratory related diseases
• Perform demos for patients to council them on usage and maintenance techniques for the respiratory devices
• Liaise with the Medical delegates to conduct regular patient clinics

Drive relationships with vendors / chemists by providing required device support, to facilitate device sales

• Conduct regular visits to chemists to provide device demo
• Liaise with the vendors and chemists to understand the latest market trends for respiratory devices, competitor devices, Cipla device sales, user feedbacks on devices, prescription preferences by doctors etc. to gauge the market and provide these inputs to the Product Manager and FLM to accordingly modify the sales strategy

Perform daily reporting activities to track field visits to facilitate ROI calculation for the business

• Submit an online Daily Call Report (DCR) to the Product Manager and FLM, which includes details such as no. of doctors visited, doctors prioritized etc
• Submit a weekly summary/ report for Product Manager and FLM. to track the weekly progress on visits.
• Provide inputs and suggestions to Product Manager and FLM on potential doctors to be included in the tour plan, as well as de-prioritization of the ones giving low/ no business.

Provide detailed diagnosis support to medical practitioners with the available devices.

• Diagnosing the respiratory conditions of new patients with the support of Peak Flow Meters and Spirometers and provide accurate readings for medical practitioners in support of recommending appropriate medications
• Diagnosing the respiratory conditions of the patients who are under prescribed medication with the support of Peak Flow Meters and Spirometers and report recovery progress for medical practitioners

Educational qualific ations:

General Certificate of Education Advanced Level Qualifications in Any Stream.

Relevant exp erience:

No Prior Experience Required.

Required good communication skills in local languages as appropriate to the region to liaise with local medical fraternity and patients.
