Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to ensure accurate construction
• Prepare surfaces and layout work areas using hand tools, power tools, and carpentry techniques
• Lay bricks, stones, or blocks with proper mortar application, ensuring alignment and levelness
• Operate power tools such as trowels, mixers, and saws safely and efficiently to facilitate masonry tasks
• Repair or replace damaged brickwork or stone structures as needed, maintaining high-quality standards
• Collaborate with team members including carpenters, roofers, and welders to coordinate project tasks
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris regularly

Skills

• Proficiency in using hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and levels for precise masonry work
• Strong knowledge of bricklaying techniques, masonry principles, and building codes
• Experience operating power tools safely for cutting, mixing mortar, or surface preparation
• Ability to perform basic carpentry tasks related to framing or structural support when required
• Familiarity with roofing processes that may involve brick or stone elements
• Basic welding skills are a plus for structural repairs or custom installations
• Excellent attention to detail combined with physical stamina for demanding labor-intensive tasks

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
