Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Brick Mason to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring structures using bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other building materials. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life while ensuring safety, durability, and aesthetic appeal on every project. Duties

• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications and requirements.
• Lay bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials with precision using hand tools and power tools.
• Install rebar (reinforcing steel bars) to strengthen concrete structures according to engineering specifications.
• Build masonry scaffolding safely to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas during construction or restoration projects.
• Execute mortar work with expertise in mixing, applying, and finishing mortar for durable bonding of materials.
• Perform concrete finishing tasks including pouring, smoothing, and sealing surfaces for floors, walls, or decorative features.
• Engage in stone masonry work for decorative or structural purposes while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Install building materials such as drywall, stucco, trim carpentry elements, metal studs for framing projects, and roofing components as needed.
• Conduct renovation or restoration projects by matching existing structures’ style and materials while maintaining structural integrity.
• Follow construction plans meticulously while interpreting blueprint specifications to ensure project accuracy and quality standards are met.
• Use schematics and technical instructions effectively to execute complex masonry tasks efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering strictly to safety protocols throughout all phases of construction.

Skills

• Extensive experience in bricklaying, stone masonry, concrete masonry work, and related construction disciplines.
• Proficiency in construction estimating to accurately assess project scope and material needs.
• Strong knowledge of rebar installation techniques for reinforced concrete structures.
• Skilled in blueprint reading and interpretation of technical drawings and schematics.
• Expertise in concrete forming, finishing techniques, plastering, stucco application, caulking, drywall installation, and tile laying.
• Ability to operate hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels; power tools including saws and drills; and specialized equipment like masonry saws or mixers.
• Experience building masonry scaffolding safely on construction sites for elevated work access.
• Familiarity with building material installation including metal studs for framing or renovation projects.
• Knowledge of safety protocols specific to construction sites involving heavy machinery or working at heights.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical plans accurately under tight deadlines.
• Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently when required in diverse project environments.
