Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Bridge Design Engineer. The Bridge Design Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and analyzing bridge structures for highway and expressway projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Daily tasks include preparing design calculations, developing detailed drawings and specifications, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and reviewing construction methods to ensure structural integrity and safety. The role involves assessing existing structures, supporting feasibility and cost estimation studies, and providing technical guidance during construction and maintenance phases. The engineer will also collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients, participate in design reviews, and contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement of design processes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong technical skills in structural and bridge engineering, including structural analysis, design of concrete and steel bridges, and familiarity with relevant design codes and standards.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in engineering software tools, such as structural analysis and design software, CAD tools for drafting, and general office productivity applications.
• Candidates should possess skills in project coordination and documentation, including preparing design reports, drawings, specifications, and maintaining clear communication with project stakeholders.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of construction practices, materials, and quality control related to highway and bridge projects, along with an understanding of safety and sustainability principles.
• Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to work independently in a remote environment.
• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is required; a master’s degree in Structural or Bridge Engineering and professional certifications or licensure are advantageous.
• Relevant experience in bridge design for highway or infrastructure projects, preferably in India or similar environments, and familiarity with government or industry standards will be beneficial.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and willingness to adapt to evolving project needs are expected.
