Bridge Project Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Bridge Project Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space.

This role will lead bridge design and project engineering efforts for complex infrastructure work, with a strong focus on multi-span bridge projects and both new design and rehabilitation scopes. The position partners closely with state DOT stakeholders to deliver quality plans, specifications, and estimates while supporting compliant, efficient project execution. It also plays a key role in mentoring engineering staff, strengthening team capacity, and contributing technical insight to business development efforts.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $103,500 – $181,100 annually

Responsibilities

• Oversee project deliverables including design, plans, specifications, and estimates
• Implement quality management procedures within the team
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures
• Mentor junior engineers on bridge and structure projects
• Strive for top performance ratings for quality and efficiency
• Develop staffing plans and identify new hiring needs
• Support business development with technical expertise

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution
• 10+ years of bridge design and project engineering experience, preferably in Indiana
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Indiana or ability to obtain one
• Experience delivering multi-span bridge projects, including new design and rehabilitation
• Proven management experience on bridge design projects for state DOTs
• Familiarity with Indiana state DOT standards and related manuals
• Proficiency in bridge design software including MicroStation and LEAP Bridge
