Broadcast Engineer

𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 - 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗨𝗦)

We’re crewing Field Engineers for a live sports production unlike anything else in the market - small crews, serious technology, and a remote production model a long way from standard OB.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲

You’re the senior technical person on a four-person on-site crew - building and running the technical setup at live sporting venues, and the on-the-ground link to a production team working remotely. When something needs solving live, you’re the one who solves it.

Day to day:

– Standing up server racks, networking, fibre and power at the venue

– Deploying broadcast video and supporting cinema camera systems

– Acting as the technical bridge between the on-site crew and the remote team

– Troubleshooting under live conditions

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴

– Real fluency across broadcast, IT/networking and camera systems

– Experience running fibre at large sporting events

– The judgement to lead on site, not just follow a run sheet

– Comfort with regular travel and long days, indoors and out

𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝘀

Freelance, per-event work across several major US cities. Local travel to and from site is covered. It’s a new operation building its crew now, so early hires become the regulars.
