JOB SUMMARY
The Broadcast Officer is responsible for executing live production streams, managing master control media feeds, and capturing high-impact video content for Newport World Resorts’ entertainment marketing initiatives. This role bridges technical live video switching with brand storytelling—delivering broadcast-quality streams, promotional show feeds, and post-event highlights across digital channels, internal resort screens, and media partners to drive venue awareness and patron engagement.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Live Show & Event Coverage
- Coordinate and operate live multi-camera setups for concerts, red-carpet launches, press events, and marketing activations across Newport World Resorts venues.
- Manage live streaming across official online channels (e.g., Facebook, YouTube) and internal resort screens, ensuring clean video, branded graphics, and seamless playback.
- Coordinate video feeds with the Master Control Room (MCR) to broadcast live show highlights directly onto casino floor screens and property display walls.
Promotional Video Content & Editing
- Record high-quality footage of live performances, celebrity appearances, and resort entertainment events for marketing archives.
- Edit quick-turnaround video recaps, event teasers, and sizzle reels for social media channels and promotional campaigns.
- Organize and maintain a clean media library of all entertainment footage and broadcast assets for the Marketing team.
Setup & Equipment Preparation
- Prepare, set up, and test cameras, video switchers, and streaming gear before events to ensure everything is ready for live production.
- Perform pre-event checks on video feeds and graphics to ensure high visual quality that reflects the resort’s brand.
- Perform basic gear maintenance and report any damaged or faulty video equipment for immediate repair.
Marketing & Event Collaboration
- Work closely with the Social Media, PR, and Brand teams to ensure live video coverage aligns with promotional goals and campaign messaging.
- Assist external media partners and production teams during joint event broadcasts or special coverage.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcasting, Mass Communication, Film/Video Production, Marketing, or a related field.
2 to 3 years of experience in live broadcast switching, streaming production, or video creation for events, media networks, or marketing teams.
Practical experience operating live video switchers and broadcast camera setups.
Familiarity with live streaming setups, video signal flow, and delivering content across digital platforms and internal venue displays.
Excellent composure under pressure during live events and strong collaboration skills with marketing, PR, and event teams.
Willingness to work on a flexible shift schedule, including late nights, weekends, and holidays, based on the resort's entertainment lineup.
