Broadway Market Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Market Associate to work in our locally sourced vendor market on Broadway. The ideal candidate will assist customers, maintain store appearance, stock merchandise, communicate with vendors and help ensure a positive shopping experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist customers with product selection and answer questions about merchandise.
• Operate cash registers and process transactions accurately.
• Stock shelves, replenish inventory, and rotate products as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive store front.
• Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock items to management/vendors.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new vendor products.
• Ensure store displays are properly maintained and promotional materials are updated.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and loss prevention practices.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
