PLEASE NOTE: Hybrid: 2 days per week in the office.

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst , within the Data Stream .

You will collaborate closely with IT architects, developers, testers, application administrators, and business stakeholders to deliver data management and reporting solutions.

Previous experience in financial services is mandatory, with a focus on finance and/or risk.

Responsibilities:

• Work with business stakeholders to clarify and document requirements.
• Assess feasibility, benefits, and risks, providing recommendations to support decisions.
• Analyse the impact of business requirements on existing systems and the wider IT environment.
• Estimate the effort required for analysis activities.
• Translate business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications.
• Participate in solution design and support development and testing.
• Keep specifications up to date throughout the project, incorporating approved changes.
• Provide post-implementation support to application administrators during stabilization.
• Perform functional and gap analysis during application procurement processes.
• Document requirements for Requests for Proposal (RfPs) and participate in solution evaluations.

Tools / Software Knowledge & Competencies:

• At least 3 years of experience in business and systems analysis , covering projects and ongoing system changes.
• Advanced SQL skills in at least one dialect, such as T-SQL, PL/SQL, or DB2 SQL .
• Previous experience implementing data management solutions , including data warehouses or reporting systems.
• Mandatory experience in financial services , focused on finance and/or risk .
• Experience defining functional and non-functional requirements, performing impact analysis, and supporting solution design.
• Experience with data warehousing, data integration, and Business Intelligence technologies is an advantage.
• Familiarity with data modelling tools , preferably PowerDesigner , is an advantage.

Education & Soft Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Fluent English.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• An inquisitive mindset and willingness to share ideas and recommendations.
• Clear communication with both business and technical colleagues.
• Good presentation skills.
• Ability to build working relationships based on trust and responsibility.
• A collaborative approach, sense of ownership, and desire to learn and grow.
