BTEC Business Instructor

Education Pathways is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated BTEC Level 3 & 4 Business Instructor to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to students enrolled in the Pearson BTEC Level 3 & 4 Business program. The teacher should be able to inspire students, develop their business knowledge and skills, and prepare them for higher education or the professional world.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the Pearson BTEC Level 3 & 4 Business curriculum.
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning and engagement.
• Support students with coursework, assignments, and projects, ensuring they meet BTEC assessment criteria.
• Conduct internal assessments in accordance with Pearson BTEC requirements and assessment standards.
• Participate in Internal Verification (IV) processes and ensure assessment decisions are consistent and compliant with BTEC requirements.
• Provide pastoral and academic support to help students achieve their full potential.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessments.
• Prepare students for assessments and coursework-based evaluations.
• Liaise with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to support student development.
• Stay up to date with educational best practices, industry trends, and BTEC policies.
• Participate in department meetings and extracurricular activities as required.

Qualification and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of business concepts, including marketing, finance, and entrepreneurship.
• Previous experience teaching Pearson BTEC programs is mandatory.
• Experience teaching BTEC Level 3 & 4 Business programs is required.
• Previous experience with BTEC internal assessment and Internal Verification (IV) is required.
• Familiarity with Pearson BTEC policies, grading criteria, and assessment standards.
• Skilled in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and student engagement.
• Ability to assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and digital literacy skills.
• Passionate about teaching with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Experience in further education, vocational training, or industry is a plus.
