BTP Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a passionate BTP Platform Engineer to design, operate, and continuously improve our SAP Business Technology Platform landscape. The role focuses on building a secure, scalable, and governed platform foundation for cloud applications, integrations, extensions, automation, and enterprise-wide developer enablement. You will enable product teams to build, deploy, and operate solutions on SAP BTP using platform engineering practices, Infrastructure as Code, GitHub-based workflows, and Azure cloud services where applicable.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain SAP BTP accounts, subaccounts, services, and connectivity.
• Configure and automate SAP BTP resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Support cloud application and extension scenarios on SAP BTP Cloud Foundry Environment.
• Implement monitoring, observability, cost transparency, and operational processes.
• Monitor platform health, performance, and service usage.
• Collaborate with security and identity teams on authentication and authorization.
• Create documentation, standards, and best practices for development teams.
• Provide technical support and guidance to developers and project teams.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in SAP BTP, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or DevOps.
• Good English communication skills.
• German language skills are an advantage.

• Platform Engineering: Automation, self-service, standardization, and platform reliability.
• DevOps & Automation: GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, Terraform.
• Security & Governance: Role concepts, authentication, authorization, and compliance.
• Integration & Connectivity: Cloud Connector, APIs, and integration services.
• Operations & Monitoring: Monitoring, troubleshooting, alerting, and cost management.
