Budget Analyst

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in financial management systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of budgeting principles, methods, and financial planning processes.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with different departments and prioritize multiple budget-related requirements.
• Demonstrates integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and organizational information.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy in financial data and documentation.
• Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS:

• Lead the preparation, execution, monitoring, and reporting of the Cooperative’s annual budget and financial plans, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and approved resources.
• Analyze budget requirements, expenditures, and utilization to ensure that financial resources are allocated efficiently and used in accordance with approved budgets, policies, and guidelines.
• Prepare timely and accurate budget reports, forecasts, financial analyses, and management information to support sound financial planning and decision-making.
• Review and evaluate budget proposals, revisions, realignments, and funding requests, providing appropriate analysis and recommendations to management.
• Provide financial and budgetary insights to assist management and departments in resource planning, expenditure control, and achievement of operational objectives.
