Perikin Enterprises

PERIKIN Enterprises is seeking a Budget Analyst to support the U.S. Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and its Office of Nuclear Smuggling Detection and Deterrence (NSDD). NSDD works with international partners to counter the smuggling of radioactive and nuclear materials. As a member of the team supporting this mission, you'll help ensure program leaders have the financial information, analysis, and forecasts they need to make informed decisions and effectively manage program resources.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance, accounting, or budget professional interested in applying strong analytical skills to a meaningful national security mission. You'll gain hands-on exposure to federal budgeting, program financial management, forecasting, contract funding, and Congressional budget activity while working alongside federal program staff and senior leadership at DOE Headquarters.
What You'll Gain
This role provides an opportunity to build experience at the intersection of finance, federal programs, and national security. You'll develop familiarity with the federal budgeting and execution process while gaining exposure to complex program and contract finances. You'll also have the opportunity to work with experienced federal professionals and program leaders, strengthen your financial modeling and forecasting skills, and see how financial analysis informs real-world program decisions. For someone looking to build a career in federal financial management, government contracting, program management, or national security, this position offers exposure to areas that can be difficult to gain early in a career.
This is an on-site position based at the U.S. Department of Energy Headquarters in Washington, DC, providing the opportunity to work directly alongside the federal program team.
