Budget Sr. Supervisor

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the budget preparation process, ensuring timely and accurate submission of departmental budgets
• Develop and implement budgeting policies, procedures and guidelines across the organisation
• Review and analyse budget submissions, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions
• Monitor actual expenditure against approved budgets and prepare variance analysis reports
• Provide guidance and support to departmental managers on budgeting techniques and forecasting methodologies
• Maintain comprehensive budget documentation and ensure proper filing and record-keeping
• Prepare budget performance reports for senior management and stakeholders
• Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure budgets align with financial statements and accounting standards
• Lead training sessions and workshops to enhance budget management capabilities across departments
• Manage budget reforecasting activities and support long-term financial planning initiatives

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in budgeting, financial planning or financial accounting roles, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or senior capacity
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, budgeting methodologies and variance analysis
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems, including spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and provide actionable insights
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor junior staff effectively
• Experience in minerals, mining or manufacturing sectors is highly desirable
• Relevant accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) or professional certification in financial management
• Proficiency in Indonesian and English languages (both written and spoken)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
