Duties

• Assist customers in selecting cannabis products by understanding their preferences and needs
• Educate customers on product effects, consumption methods, and proper usage through engaging product demos
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Maintain accurate inventory levels through merchandising, stocking, and organizing product displays
• Conduct product demos to highlight new or featured items, encouraging upselling opportunities
• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and store policies during sales and customer interactions
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting remote customers
• Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively to maximize sales potential
• Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and record keeping

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales or customer service experience, preferably in a grocery store or similar environment
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and team collaboration
• Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions and inventory tracking
• Strong communication skills to educate customers clearly and confidently
• Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies
• Knowledge of cannabis products, regulations, and safety protocols is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism under pressure
