Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs and preferences
• Educate customers on product effects, usage methods, and responsible consumption through engaging product demos
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cash drawer management
• Upsell products by highlighting new or complementary items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented according to merchandising standards
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about different strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories
• Maintain thorough knowledge of store products, including cannabis strains, edibles, topicals, and grocery store items when applicable
• Handle retail store operations such as stocking inventory, performing basic math for transactions, and managing retail math calculations

Skills

• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers in a bilingual environment if applicable
• Proven experience in supervising or leading team members within a retail setting is a plus
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally and efficiently
• Skilled in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer trust
• Experience with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail sales transactions
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and inventory management practices
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and processing transactions
• Previous grocery store or retail experience is advantageous for understanding customer service dynamics and stock management
