Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by actively listening to customer needs and offering tailored product suggestions based on their preferences and experience levels
• Educate customers on product features, effects, and proper usage through engaging product demos and clear communication
• Operate POS systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions, handle cash register operations, and manage cash drawer handling with accuracy
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of store products, including new arrivals and promotional items, to assist with merchandising and stock replenishment
• Conduct product demos to showcase product quality and educate customers about different strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories
• Ensure compliance with all legal regulations regarding cannabis sales, ID verification, and age restrictions
• Assist in stocking shelves, organizing displays, and merchandising to create an inviting shopping environment
• Handle retail store product knowledge inquiries with professionalism and clarity, including bilingual support when applicable
• Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries or scheduling appointments

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales experience preferred, especially within grocery stores or specialty retail environments involving customer interaction
• Supervising experience is a plus; ability to lead by example in providing excellent service and maintaining store standards
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, retail math, and cashiering operations essential for smooth transactions
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases
• Knowledge of cannabis products or willingness to learn through training sessions is advantageous
• Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer trust
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory management
• Excellent phone etiquette skills combined with a professional demeanor in all customer interactions
