Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products tailored to their needs, providing detailed product demos when appropriate.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products, including strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories, to effectively educate customers.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cash drawer management.
• Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure proper merchandising of all products to create an inviting shopping environment.
• Conduct inventory counts, assist with stock replenishment, and manage stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Follow all safety protocols, including responsible serving practices and compliance with legal regulations related to cannabis sales.
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers via call or online inquiries.
• Support product demos and educate customers about new or featured items to promote product awareness.
• Supervise or assist in training new team members on store procedures, POS operations, and customer service standards.

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems and retail sales transactions; familiarity with cash register operations is essential.
• Previous supervising experience or leadership skills that demonstrate the ability to guide team members effectively.
• Strong communication skills in both bilingual settings (if applicable) and in delivering clear product information.
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for sales totals, discounts, and inventory counts.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette approach.
• Knowledge of retail store product merchandising principles and effective stocking techniques.
• Experience conducting product demos to educate customers about various cannabis products confidently.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and balancing cash drawers efficiently.
• Familiarity with retail store policies on responsible serving practices and legal compliance related to cannabis sales.
