As a key member of our retail team, you’ll promote responsible consumption and ensure compliance with all regulations.

Duties

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly and guiding them through product selections based on their preferences and needs
• Educate customers on different strains, consumption methods, and product effects through engaging product demos and detailed explanations
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently for transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts
• Assist with merchandising by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are attractively presented to maximize sales opportunities
• Conduct upselling by recommending complementary products and promoting featured items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
• Maintain accurate inventory records, perform stock checks, and assist with inventory management to ensure product availability
• Uphold all safety standards, including verifying customer age, following proper cash handling procedures, and adhering to regulatory guidelines

Requirements

• Prior retail sales experience with a focus on customer service in a fast-paced environment such as grocery stores or specialty retail shops
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math for accurate transactions
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product details clearly and professionally
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve diverse customer bases
• Experience supervising or leading small teams is advantageous but not required
• Demonstrated phone etiquette when interacting with customers or vendors over the phone
• Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays efficiently
• Knowledge of cannabis products or willingness to learn about industry-specific regulations is preferred but not mandatory
