Who we are
We're Wishing Wellness — a cannabis shop at 406 5th St NW, right by the National Mall in one of the oldest blocks in DC. The building's been standing since the 1800's and there's an actual 18-foot well in the floor (that's where the name comes from). We started out doing delivery and grew because people kept coming back, so being good to customers is kind of the whole thing for us. We also throw events — live music, glass artists, record pop-ups. It's a fun place to work.

The job
We need a budtender for the floor. You're the person customers talk to when they walk in — helping first-timers who have no idea where to start and regulars who know exactly what they want, and making both feel taken care of.

Day to day

• Welcome customers and get them signed up (DC's registration is quick, we'll show you how)
• Help people find what they're looking for — based on what you actually like, not a script
• Ring people up, handle cash and card
• Keep the floor looking good and give us a heads up when something's running low
• Grab some clips and photos on slow moments for our social — everybody chips in on this
• Get people hyped on the events we've got coming up

What you need

• Customer service or sales experience — this is the main thing. Worked a counter, a bar, a shop, anywhere with people? You're who we want.
• Show up on time and be easy to work with
• Comfortable with a register and handling cash
• 21+ and able to pass a background check (it's a DC cannabis thing)
• Down for a flexible schedule — some nights, weekends, holidays

You don't need any cannabis experience — we'll teach you all of it. But if you already know a bit, use it yourself, or you're just curious and want to learn, say so. That's a plus in our book.
