Budtender

Job Overview:

Part time weekend position. Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Join our dynamic team as a Budtender, where you'll be the friendly face guiding customers through their cannabis journey. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products tailored to their needs, offering detailed product demos when appropriate
• Educate customers on product effects, usage methods, and responsible consumption practices
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure an inviting shopping experience
• Upsell products by recommending complementary items and informing customers about new or featured products
• Conduct inventory checks, stock replenishment, and merchandising to keep the sales floor well-stocked and appealing
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or scheduling appointments

Requirements

• Prior retail sales experience, preferably in grocery stores or similar environments with customer interaction
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and team collaboration
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, sales calculations, and inventory management
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on clear, friendly customer interactions in both English and bilingual capabilities are highly valued
• Experience with POS systems and cashiering procedures to ensure smooth transactions
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking techniques, and product demos to enhance the customer experience
• Familiarity with cannabis or related products is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally
