Budtender

Overview

Must be 21+ years old to work in a dispensary. Previous dispensary experience is preferred.

As a Budtender, you will be the friendly, knowledgeable face of our dispensary, guiding customers through their journey with cannabis products. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment where customers feel confident in their choices. You’ll provide personalized recommendations, educate on product effects and usage, and ensure a smooth, enjoyable shopping experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for wellness with retail sales, all while adhering to legal regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs and preferences
• Educate customers on product effects, consumption methods, and responsible usage through engaging product demos and clear communication
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Upsell products by highlighting new or complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
• Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring product availability
• Conduct regular stock checks, inventory management, and product rotation to keep the sales floor well-stocked and appealing
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions via phone etiquette or in person with professionalism and enthusiasm
• Assist with basic retail math calculations for transactions, discounts, or inventory counts
• Support supervising team members when needed to ensure smooth daily operations

Experience

• Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a customer-focused environment such as dispensaries or specialty stores
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings or training new staff
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette for engaging with customers over the phone or in person
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, retail math, and cash handling procedures
• Knowledge of retail store products, merchandising techniques, and basic math skills for transactions and inventory management
• Experience in conducting product demos and upselling within a retail setting is preferred

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
