Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to help them find the right products based on their needs and preferences
• Educate customers on product features, effects, and proper usage through engaging product demos and detailed explanations
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions, including cash handling, credit card payments, and cash drawer management
• Maintain accurate inventory levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and conducting regular stock checks to ensure product availability
• Assist with merchandising efforts to create attractive displays that highlight featured products and promotions
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or popular items, encouraging upselling opportunities while promoting responsible consumption
• Uphold phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or providing information remotely, ensuring clear communication at all times

Skills

• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse customers effectively in both bilingual settings (English/Spanish or others)
• Proven experience with retail sales, cashiering, and cash register operations in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences and building customer loyalty
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising principles, and POS systems for seamless transactions
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for sales calculations, discounts, and inventory management
• Experience in supervising or mentoring team members to foster a collaborative work environment
• Familiarity with cannabis products including strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
• Strong phone etiquette skills for professional remote communication when needed
