Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to help them select products based on their needs and preferences.
• Educate customers about different strains, consumption methods, and product effects through engaging product demos and detailed explanations.
• Operate POS systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and managing cash drawers with accuracy.
• Upsell products by highlighting new arrivals, promotions, or complementary items to maximize sales opportunities.
• Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and conducting regular inventory checks to ensure product availability.
• Conduct merchandising activities to create attractive displays that enhance product visibility and appeal.
• Ensure compliance with all legal regulations and store policies regarding age restrictions, product labeling, and security procedures.
• Handle customer inquiries over the phone with professionalism and courtesy, providing information about products or store policies.
• Assist in supervising team members when needed, supporting a collaborative environment that promotes excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience with familiarity in POS systems, cashiering, and retail math is preferred.
• Supervising experience is a plus; ability to lead by example and support team members effectively.
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse communities.
• Experience in product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies to boost sales performance.
• Knowledge of cannabis products, including strains, consumption methods, and effects; retail store product knowledge is essential.
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive interactions both in person and over the phone.
• Ability to handle cash register operations accurately while maintaining attention to detail during retail transactions.
• Basic math skills for balancing cash drawers and performing retail calculations confidently.
• Demonstrated ability to manage stock levels efficiently through stocking and inventory management practices.
