Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional customer service by engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and offering tailored product recommendations.
• Educate customers on product effects, consumption methods, and proper usage through product demos and clear communication.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately while handling cash register operations and cash drawer management.
• Assist in stocking shelves, organizing displays, and merchandising products to ensure an attractive and accessible store environment.
• Conduct upselling techniques to promote featured products and increase sales opportunities.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of retail store product offerings, including cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates, accessories, and related merchandise.
• Ensure compliance with all legal regulations regarding sales, age verification, and inventory control during daily operations.
• Handle customer inquiries via phone with professionalism and courtesy, providing information about products or store policies.
• Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, assisting with product demos, and participating in stock counts.
• Uphold cleanliness standards and ensure the store environment remains inviting and organized at all times.

Experience

• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in a customer-focused environment such as dispensaries or specialty stores.
• Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities or team support roles.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, retail math calculations, and cashiering is essential for smooth daily operations.
• Strong communication skills are necessary to effectively educate customers about products and handle inquiries professionally.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base more effectively.
• Experience conducting product demos or merchandising can help enhance customer engagement and store presentation.
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge related to cannabis or similar industries is highly valued.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
