Budtender

Overview
Applicants must be 21 years of age or older to apply. As a Budtender, you'll be the one guiding customers through their cannabis journey. This role is perfect for passionate individuals who do well face to face with customers, enjoy educating others, and excel at creating positive experiences. As a key member of our dispensary, you’ll combine your knowledge of products with excellent customer service skills to ensure every visitor leaves satisfied and informed. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help foster a welcoming atmosphere while promoting responsible consumption and product knowledge.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly, providing exceptional service and personalized product recommendations
• Educate customers on various cannabis products.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process sales accurately and handle cash transactions with care
• Assist with inventory management by conducting stock checks and recording product movements
• Uphold compliance with all state and local regulations related to cannabis sales and age restrictions
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or scheduling appointments
• Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a similar environment involving customer interaction
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse clientele
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math for accurate transactions
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Experience in phone etiquette and upselling strategies to maximize sales opportunities
• Basic math skills necessary for cash handling and retail calculations
