Responsibilities

• Provide personalized product recommendations based on customer preferences and needs, showcasing your in-depth knowledge of cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories.
• Conduct engaging product demonstrations and explain product features to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction.
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and cash drawer management.
• Maintain organized stock levels by stocking shelves, merchandising products attractively, and conducting regular inventory checks.
• Assist customers with retail store product knowledge, answering questions about effects, usage, and safety considerations with clear communication skills.
• Upsell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer needs are met authentically.
• Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about products or store policies with courteous phone etiquette.
• Support store operations by managing retail math calculations for transactions and ensuring accurate cash register operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service roles is highly preferred; supervisory experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations to ensure smooth checkout processes.
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse communities.
• Demonstrated ability to perform retail math calculations accurately for sales transactions and inventory management.
• Knowledge of retail store merchandising standards and product knowledge in the cannabis industry or similar retail environment.
• Experience with stock management, upselling techniques, and cashiering procedures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed in a fast-paced retail setting.
