Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products tailored to their needs, ensuring a positive shopping experience
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about different strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories
• Manage retail sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, including cash handling and cash drawer management
• Upsell complementary products by understanding customer preferences and promoting relevant items to enhance their purchase
• Maintain stock levels through stocking, merchandising, and organizing product displays to ensure an attractive store environment
• Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions via in-person interactions and over the phone with professional phone etiquette
• Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and product rotation to ensure freshness and compliance with regulations
• Support store operations by supervising junior staff when needed and ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards

Skills

• Proven experience in retail sales or grocery store environments with strong cash register operations skills
• Demonstrated supervising or leadership experience in a retail setting
• Excellent communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Ability to perform basic math for retail math calculations, cash handling, and balancing registers accurately
• Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising strategies, and inventory management practices
• Strong phone etiquette skills for professional customer interactions over the phone
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash drawer handling, and retail sales transactions
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude
