Location: Ruuted Dispensary

Job Summary: As a Budtender, you will be the face of our dispensary, providing exceptional customer service while guiding clients through their cannabis selections. Your knowledge of various strains, products, and consumption methods will help customers make informed choices while ensuring compliance with state regulations. At Ruuted, a budtender/delivery driver plays a hybrid role that combines customer service and product knowledge with the logistics and safety requirements of delivering products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greet and assist customers, providing a welcoming and informative experience.
• Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods to answer questions and make recommendations.
• Sales: Process transactions accurately and efficiently including both cash and electronic payments. Handling point-of-sale (POS) systems and securely processing cash and other payment transactions.
• Inventory Management: Assist with inventory checks, restocking shelves, maintaining product display, and conducting inventory audits.
• Compliance: Ensure all sales comply with state and local regulations regarding cannabis sales and usage.
• Education: Educate customers on safe consumption practices, dosing, and product effects.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and welcoming environment in the dispensary.

Delivery driver responsibilities:

• Safe and efficient delivery: Collecting, routing, and delivering customer orders in a timely and efficient manner, navigating routes effectively using dispatch platforms.
• Customer interaction: Interacting with customers professionally, addressing their questions or concerns about orders or products upon delivery.
• Compliance and record-keeping: Verifying customer identification and age upon delivery, adhering to all traffic laws and cannabis regulations, and maintaining accurate logs and delivery documentation (manifests, delivery logs, etc.).
• Vehicle maintenance: Conducting pre-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle and keeping it clean.
• Secure product handling: Handling and transporting cannabis products with care, ensuring they remain secure and undamaged during transit, and storing products in locked compartments during transport.
• Payment processing: Processing payments and handling cash transactions accurately during deliveries using mobile POS devices

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Cannabis: Familiarity with different cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods.
• Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in cannabis retail and customer service is preferred.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage customers effectively.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately handle transactions and maintain compliance with regulations.
• Age Requirement: Must be of legal age to work in a cannabis dispensary.
• Delivery Knowledge: Familiarity with GPS navigation apps and delivery tracking systems is generally expected.
• Compliance: Drivers must understand and adhere to state and local cannabis delivery regulations, including age verification, possession limits, and secure transportation practices.
• Secure Handling: Ensuring the secure handling and transport of cannabis products is paramount.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.

• Legally authorized to work in Cannabis in New Jersey
