Budtender/Delivery Driver

Job Summary

The Budtender/Delivery Driver is responsible for educating customers about cannabis products and assisting them in selecting products that meet their needs while ensuring full compliance with New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (NJ-CRC) regulations and company policies. This position provides exceptional customer service both in-store and during cannabis delivery operations. Responsibilities include accurate order fulfillment, compliant product handling, secure transportation of cannabis products, verification of customer identification and age, and maintaining accurate transaction records. The Budtender/Delivery Driver plays a key role in daily dispensary operations while upholding all safety, security, and regulatory standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Provide a welcoming and professional customer experience while educating customers on cannabis products, effects, and responsible consumption

· Assist customers in selecting cannabis products and merchandise while demonstrating product knowledge and compliant sales practices

· Process retail transactions accurately using the POS system while following all cash handling and inventory control procedures

· Prepare and fulfill customer orders for in-store, online, and delivery purchases in accordance with NJ-CRC regulations

· Verify customer identification and legal age (21+) for all cannabis purchases and deliveries in accordance with state law

· Safely transport cannabis products to customers while maintaining chain of custody and following all company security and delivery procedures

· Ensure all delivery orders are packaged, secured, and documented prior to departure in accordance with regulatory requirements

· Accurately document delivery transactions and maintain required logs or digital records

· Accept and process payments during deliveries in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations

· Follow designated delivery routes and schedules while maintaining safe driving practices and protecting company property and product inventory

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle and report any issues or incidents to management

· Assist with inventory management tasks including receiving shipments, processing returns, damages, and vendor transfers

· Maintain a clean, organized, and professional retail environment in accordance with health and safety standards

· Attend required product education, compliance training, and company meetings

· Maintain knowledge of all federal, state, and local cannabis laws applicable to job responsibilities

· Perform opening and closing duties and other operational tasks as assigned by management

· Maintain a professional appearance and uphold company standards of conduct

Required Skills and Abilities

· Basic knowledge of cannabis products or willingness to learn through training

· Strong customer service and communication skills

· Ability to follow strict compliance procedures and regulatory requirements

· Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications

· Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability

Requirements

· Must be 25 years of age or older

· Must be able to obtain and maintain any required NJ Cannabis Employee credentials or identification as required by the NJ-CRC

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required for delivery duties

· Must be authorized to work in the United States

· Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

· Customer service or retail experience preferred but not required

· Cannabis industry experience preferred but not required

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED required; or equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand for extended periods of time

· Ability to lift and carry items up to 40 pounds

· Ability to drive for extended periods while performing delivery duties

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
