What they need
Where is the most beautiful and scenic place you have ever been? How would you like to work there everyday?
43K Wilderness Solutions is looking for permanent, full‐time Builder 1’s (Construction Worker) to work with a small crew in Vancouver Island’s most beautiful and remote wilderness areas. The job requires you to work with one or two other people to independently build structures under the supervision of a Foreperson. We are looking for people with basic construction experience including framing, concrete and metal who enjoy working in wild places. 43K offers competitive wages and benefits, including full health and dental, professional development opportunities and gear allowances.
43K’s specialty is working in challenging wilderness environments, often without electricity or other services. The job will require you to work out of town, in camp on long shifts. Our projects are always different ‐ from helicopter access bridges to trail construction to installing off‐the‐grid buildings ‐ we never do the same thing twice. A large portion of our projects include working with local communities and local First Nations.
Our current projects are located across the island, on the North Island in Cape Scott Park, mid-Island in the Comox Valley, and South Island on the Juan de Fuca trail.
If you have construction experience, enjoy spending time in the backcountry and are looking for a new challenge we would love to meet you!
