Job Summary: We are looking for a hands-on and technically competent Building & Facilities Maintenance Technician to be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of our building facilities, production machinery and equipment.

The successful candidate should have strong knowledge and practical experience in mechanical, electrical, electronics, PLC and industrial equipment maintenance. You should be comfortable working independently, diagnosing equipment faults and carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize production downtime.

Experience in a food processing, manufacturing or production environment will be an advantage.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Production Machinery & Equipment
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on food processing and production machinery.
• Carry out troubleshooting, repair and servicing of mechanical, electrical, electronic and automated equipment.
• Diagnose machine breakdowns and identify the root cause of equipment failures.
• Perform basic to intermediate PLC troubleshooting, including checking I/O, sensors, alarms, relays, motors and control circuits.
• Troubleshoot motors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, conveyors, pneumatic systems, sensors, switches and other machine components.
• Assist with machine installation, commissioning, modification and improvement works.
• Ensure production machinery is operating safely, reliably and efficiently.
• Respond promptly to production machinery breakdowns and minimize equipment downtime.

Electrical & Electronics

• Perform electrical troubleshooting and maintenance of machinery and building equipment.
• Diagnose faults involving control panels, contactors, relays, circuit breakers, sensors, switches, motors and other electrical components.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and control circuit drawings.
• Carry out basic electronic and control-system troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with external contractors or specialist technicians for major electrical or equipment repairs when required.

Building & Facilities Maintenance

• Carry out routine inspection, maintenance and repair of building facilities and M&E systems.
• Maintain equipment such as pumps, motors, air-conditioning systems, ventilation systems, compressors and other facility equipment.
• Attend to general building maintenance, plumbing, lighting, electrical fixtures and other facility-related issues.
• Monitor the condition and performance of building services and identify potential problems before breakdowns occur.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors carrying out servicing, repair and maintenance works.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, equipment breakdowns, repairs and replacement parts.

Technical Documentation

• Read and understand machinery manuals, technical specifications, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, equipment layouts and operating instructions.
• Maintain proper maintenance records, equipment history and spare-parts records.
• Keep preventive maintenance schedules updated.
• Prepare breakdown reports and provide recommendations for recurring equipment problems.
• Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance tools, spare parts and consumables.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Follow appropriate lock-out/tag-out and electrical safety procedures where applicable.
• Ensure machinery and facilities remain in safe operating condition.
• Comply with workplace safety, food manufacturing hygiene and company requirements.
• Support maintenance work during emergency breakdowns or outside normal working hours when required.

Other Responsibilities

• Work closely with Production, QA, Warehouse and other departments to resolve equipment and facility issues.
• Recommend improvements to machinery, equipment and maintenance processes.
• Assist in reducing machinery downtime and improving equipment reliability.
• Perform other maintenance and facilities-related duties as assigned by Management.
