Building Automation Engineer (Controls - Design)

Key responsibilities

• Participate in control system engineering projects in developing and reviewing specifications, testing and commissioning in accordance with Thai Standards
• Conduct technical reviews on specialist contractors' shop drawing and documentation submissions including points lists, network architecture schematics, controller wiring diagrams, control cabinet drawings, functional descriptions and HMI graphics
• Lead project control design, execution, testing and commissioning
• Provide stakeholder liaison and support for the production of controls system strategies, designs and specifications
• Lead and take ownership for the co-ordination of all building services disciplines
• Work with other engineers, designers and supervisors to support engineering project delivery
• Work on multiple concurrent projects
• Prepare detailed design of control systems incorporating PLC/SCADA/DCS platforms
• Provide solutions for clients' technical needs and prepare technical and fee proposals for tenders
• Conduct site works involving onsite implementation, testing and commissioning of Control System works as required, including travelling to clients' sites

About you

• Degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, information and communications technology or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years' post graduate experience across all project development phases from concept design, detailed design to site commissioning of projects or similar roles
• Experience in DDC, PLC control design and project delivery
• Experience with Safety in Design practices, risk assessment, preparing proposals, project engineering and planning
• Applied knowledge of relevant Thai Standard
• Experience with BMS including DDC and PLC controls
• Experience working on various device interfaces such as OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IP & RTU, MQTT, BACnet/IP & MSTP
• Design skills and specification writing skills are essential
• Good understanding of Building Services Engineering for building services such as mechanical systems, electrical systems, telecommunications, fire systems and plumbing & sanitary systems
• Leadership skills and strong background in all aspects of BMS, HVAC Control Applications and Electrical Power Management Systems
