Building Cleaner

Schedule: Monday to Friday, with weekend shifts

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Building Cleaner to join our property operations team at Talisman, 1354 Carling Avenue.

This position is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the building and ensuring that our common areas and amenities are clean, presentable, and welcoming for residents and guests.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and can work independently while being part of a team.

What You'll Do

• Clean and maintain building lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, and entrances
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot-clean floors throughout the property
• Clean and disinfect high-touch areas such as door handles, elevator buttons, railings, and other surfaces
• Maintain resident amenity spaces, lounges, fitness areas, and common areas
• Clean glass doors, windows, mirrors, and other surfaces
• Empty garbage and recycling bins in common areas
• Maintain garbage and recycling rooms in a clean and organized condition
• Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, baseboards, ledges, and other surfaces
• Pick up litter and ensure entrances and surrounding common areas remain clean
• Complete regular building walkthroughs and address cleaning issues as they arise
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in when required
• Complete additional cleaning following maintenance, construction, move-outs, or resident events
• Report maintenance issues, damage, safety concerns, or missing items to the Property Manager
• Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment and notify management when supplies need to be replenished
• Follow all health and safety procedures when handling cleaning products and equipment

What We're Looking For

• Previous cleaning experience is an asset
• Experience in residential buildings, hotels, commercial properties, or similar environments is preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable
• Able to work independently and manage daily priorities
• Positive and professional attitude
• Comfortable interacting with residents and building staff
• Good communication skills
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform cleaning duties throughout the shift
• Able to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment
• Ability to follow instructions and established cleaning procedures

Pay: $17.60-$25.00 per hour
