Building Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Civil/Building Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project planning, quality control, and technical documentation.
• Familiar with costing and contract administration.
• Proficient in AutoCAD. Knowledge of Revit or other BIM software will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to travel or be assigned to project sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Support project planning and engineering activities during the design stage.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, consultants, and Draftsman to review and develop design drawings in accordance with client and authority requirements.
• Review consultant drawings and identify design issues or discrepancies.
• Evaluate constructability and propose suitable construction methodologies.
• Prepare technical documents, method statements, engineering reports, and presentation materials.
• Coordinate with consultants and relevant stakeholders to resolve design and technical issues.
• Provide technical and engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist the Project Manager in project planning and oversee site activities when assigned.
• Ensure construction works comply with project specifications, quality standards, and approved procedures.
• Monitor quality control, inspections, and testing to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, defects, and non-conforming work promptly.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and authorities on technical matters and site inspections.
• Monitor project progress to ensure works are completed according to the approved schedule.
• Prepare technical reports and other documentation as required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.

Location: HQ – Damansara Uptown, Selangor
(Candidate may be assigned to project site as required by the company.)
