Building Engineer / Maintenance Technician

Compensation: $40-$45/hr (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM (on‑site)
Benefits: Healthcare, PTO, holidays, occasional overtime, uniform.

Position Summary

Seeking a dependable, self‑motivated Building Engineer to support daily operations of a commercial office property. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, professionalism with tenants, and the ability to independently prioritize work.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and minor HVAC work.
• Conduct daily building and roof walkthroughs; identify issues early (leaks, temperature problems, safety concerns).
• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Diagnose problems and complete repairs or adjustments.
• Assist with installation or modification of building equipment and systems.
• Complete and track work orders; maintain accurate logs.
• Communicate clearly with tenants, vendors, and team members.
• Ensure systems operate efficiently and comply with safety and building codes.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial building maintenance or engineering.
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC basics.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and customer‑service skills.
• Reliable, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working independently.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work on rooftops and in confined spaces.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
