Building Executive

About the role

Landsworth Property Management Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and proactive Building Executive to join our residential property management team. This is a full-time position based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. As a Building Executive, you will be the backbone of our day-to-day operations, responsible for maintaining the highest standards of property management and ensuring optimal building performance. You will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our residents whilst supporting the broader objectives of the organisation to provide well-maintained, safe and comfortable living environments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily building operations, maintenance schedules and facility services to ensure all systems operate efficiently
• Manage and supervise building maintenance staff, contractors and service providers to maintain property standards and compliance
• Conduct regular inspections of common areas, mechanical systems and facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards
• Respond promptly to resident complaints and maintenance requests, ensuring issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive maintenance records, logs and documentation for all building systems and repairs
• Coordinate preventative maintenance programmes and ensure compliance with health, safety and building regulations
• Manage budgets for maintenance and operational costs, tracking expenditure and identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Liaise with external contractors, vendors and utility providers to arrange services and resolve operational issues
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports on building performance, maintenance activities and resident issues
• Ensure security protocols are followed and maintain a safe environment for all residents and staff

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in building management, property maintenance or facilities management within a residential setting
• Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and general maintenance practices
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
• Proven ability to manage staff and work collaboratively with contractors and service providers
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents and stakeholders
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions
• Familiarity with building safety standards, regulations and compliance requirements in Malaysia
• Proficiency in using property management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Certification in Building Management or Facilities Management is preferred but not essential
• Valid driver's licence is advantageous for site visits and external engagement
