We are partnering with a premier consulting firm in the Austin and Round Rock area to find a highly skilled and motivated Building Envelope Technician for an immediate opening.

About the Role

If you have a strong background in commercial roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope systems, this is a great opportunity to join a specialized team while maintaining the highest regard for safety protocols. In this role, you will conduct full-time and periodic construction site visits to observe and document projects, ensuring contractor compliance with contract documents. Your day-to-day will involve performing both destructive and non-destructive quality control testing in accordance with ASTM, ANSI, ABAA, and AAMA/FGIA industry standards. You will also prepare detailed electronic site visit reports and assist Project Managers or Senior Consultants with comprehensive condition assessments, surveys, and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct full-time and periodic construction site visits to observe and document projects, ensuring contractor compliance with contract documents.
• Perform both destructive and non-destructive quality control testing in accordance with ASTM, ANSI, ABAA, and AAMA/FGIA industry standards.
• Prepare detailed electronic site visit reports.
• Assist Project Managers or Senior Consultants with comprehensive condition assessments, surveys, and investigations.
• Occasional overnight project travel is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of functional experience in commercial building envelope, roofing, and waterproofing consulting services.
• Due to client and project requirements, candidates must be U.S. Citizens.
• No felony convictions.
• Willingness to pass a required State of Texas Department of Public Safety criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• Minimum state-required auto liability insurance.

Required Skills

• Strong background in commercial roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects from start to finish.
• Proficiency with desktop and tablet computers using Windows-based software like MS Office.

Preferred Skills

• IIBEC RRO or REWO registration (highly beneficial, but not required).
• Bilingual candidates will definitely stand out.
• Aerial platform operator training or certification.
