Sydney Wide Certifiers is looking for a Registered Certifier – Building Inspector (formerly A4) to join our Parramatta team. No two days look the same. One morning it’s a footing inspection on a new home in the Hills, then a frame on a duplex in the south, then a final on a granny flat out west. Our A1 accreditation means our projects cover everything from houses to commercial and industrial work, so the variety is real.

Here’s what your week looks like:

• On site, most of the day. You’ll carry out critical stage inspections across Sydney, checking work against the approved plans, the BCA and Australian Standards.
• Being the face of the business. Builders and homeowners see you, you’ll be the one keeping things professional and making sure every client walks away knowing they’re in good hands.
• Less admin, more inspecting. Clients book inspections through our Client Portal, so you spend less time on phone tag. You’ll record findings and issue reports on our inspection app (we’ll train you), right from site.
• Doing your homework. Before each job, you’ll get across the consent conditions, CCs, CDCs and engineering details so you walk on site knowing what to look for.
• Part of a team, not out on your own. You’ll stay in close contact with our office and operations team. With five accredited certifiers in the business, there’s always someone to back you up on a tricky call.

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

• Registration as a Registered Certifier – Building Inspector (A4) or higher
• Inspection experience on residential and/or commercial builds
• A solid working knowledge of the EP&A Act and BCA, and confidence reading plans and engineering details
• An eye for detail that doesn’t switch off on site
• The ability to deliver bad news to a builder and keep the relationship intact
• Good organisation – you’re happy juggling multiple sites across Sydney in a day
• A current driver licence and full working rights in Australia
