Building Inspector HHS

Description The Hennepin County Health and Human Services Department is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse(LPN) who has interest, skills and experience working in the mental health field to join our team at the new 1801 Nicollet Avenue site in Minneapolis. This is a non benefit, intermittent position where the hours are not regular and are limited to 1,039 hours in each 12 month period.

The Duties And Responsibilities Of This Position Include

• Take vitals on clients
• Administer injections
• Debrief phone messages and pharmacy calls
• Meet with pharmaceutical representatives, accept medication samples and inventory the samples
• Assist psychiatrists and staff nurses in completing routine forms for clients
• Organize mail for psychiatrists
• Provide health education to clients
• Order supplies
• Provide nursing support to the medical staff
• Triage walk-in clients

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Licensure by the State of Minnesota as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Interest, skills and experience in the mental health field
• Good organizational and communication skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team of providers
