BUILDING MAINTENANCE EXECUTIVE

About the role

Looking for a hands-on and dependable Maintenance Executive to ensure that our office, properties, equipment and essential services remain safe, functional and well maintained. This role suits someone who enjoys solving practical problems, coordinating contractors and keeping daily operations running smoothly. You will manage preventive maintenance, facility repairs, safety inspections, utilities, improvement works and service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and lead day-to-day maintenance and building defect repair activities of the company premises
• Serve as the escalation point for any operational issues
• Plan, coordinate and lead building and grounds maintenance including building repair, electrical, aircon maintenance, plumbing, painting, replacements and lift maintenance
• Source and oversee service providers and internal staff for building maintenance work
• Develop strategies to reduce the building operation repair cost and improvement plan for further cost reduction
• Manage in house/contract vendors to carry out the defect repair or maintenance job
• Deal with emergencies as they arise
• Standby for off-hour emergencies
• Handle clients' queries and feedback amicably
• Liaise and attend meetings with clients and address their concerns

About you

• Professional certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, bachelor's degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Property Development/Real Estate Management or equivalent
• At least 3 years' experience in coordinating building repair/maintenance/renovation/construction or relevant works
• Good proficiency in English, Bahasa, Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders (speak, read and write)
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in MS office
• Possess good technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
• Well organized and good in both written and spoken communication with excellent client and customer management skills
• Able to manage complex workload everyday
• Possess technical know-how of building services
• Ability to negotiate with client, contractors and supplier
