Building Maintenance Technician

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Building Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation and upkeep of our facilities. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of building systems and equipment. Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools such as ohmmeters.
• Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other handyman tasks to support building upkeep and aesthetic improvements.
• Maintain facilities equipment including HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, electrical panels, and mechanical systems with precision.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete repairs or installations while adhering to safety protocols.
• Supervise or assist with maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Document all maintenance activities accurately in logs or work orders; interpret schematics for complex repairs.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants.

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building repair roles with a strong background in electrical work, plumbing, HVAC system repair, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical equipment repair, and schematics interpretation.
• Knowledge of maintenance painting, carpentry, welding, and general handyman skills is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
• Supervisory or leadership experience is a plus; ability to coordinate tasks with team members or contractors is valued.
• Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective collaboration with team members or clients.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
