  • Maintain secure tool storage and follow safety procedures while working around residents and staff.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
  • Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to recognize when a repair requires additional support.
  • Ability to work independently, organize assigned tasks, and communicate repair needs clearly.
  • Basic computer skills for work orders, documentation, and communication.
  • Ability to meet required background clearance, health screening, and facility training requirements.
  • Valid West Virginia driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and required automobile insurance when driving is assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, property maintenance, construction, or related work.
  • Demonstrated skills in at least two areas: plumbing, electrical maintenance, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, mechanical repair, HVAC support, or grounds maintenance.
