Building Maintenance Technician (Part-Time)

About Us

Our Troy headquarters is home to Signarama Troy, the world's largest Signarama location, and National Branding, along with our full manufacturing operation. It's a busy building with a lot of moving parts: offices, a showroom, a production floor, a shipping dock, and grounds that need year-round attention. We're looking for someone who takes pride in keeping it all running.

The Role

You'll be the go-to person for our building. When a light goes out, a door sticks, supplies run low, or a vendor shows up for an inspection, you're the one who handles it. This role is for someone who likes variety, works independently, and closes the loop when a job is done.

What You'll Do

• Complete work orders for general repairs across the building: light fixtures, switches, ceiling fans, doors, drywall, painting, and furniture assembly
• Walk the facility regularly and catch small issues before they turn into big ones
• Keep restrooms, the breakroom, and janitorial closets stocked with supplies along with our cleaning staff
• Meet and coordinate with outside vendors on site, including landscaping, HVAC, pest control, fire and life safety, and elevator inspections
• Help prep the building for scheduled inspections and support any follow-up items
• Keep an eye on the grounds, parking lot, gates, and building exterior
• Log completed work and send updates so the right people know the job is done
• Pitch in on special projects, office improvements, and event setup as they come up

What You Bring

• Hands-on handyman or building maintenance experience; commercial or light industrial buildings are a plus
• Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs
• Comfortable on ladders and able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Reliable, self-directed, and good at following through without being chased
• Comfortable using a phone or tablet app to receive and close out work orders (MaintainX or similar experience is a bonus)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Schedule

Weekday daytime hours, with some flexibility for vendor visits or weather-related needs. We're open to building a schedule that works for the right person within the 20 to 32 hour range.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
