Building Manager

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Building Management, Property Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in building or property management, preferably in commercial buildings, malls, or office towers.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team management skills.
• Good knowledge of building maintenance, MEP systems, HSE, and operational cost control.
• Ability to manage multiple operational functions and maintain high service standards.

Core Responsibilities:

• Overseeing building operations:

  This includes ensuring the building is well-maintained, safe, and compliant with regulations.

• Managing staff:

  Building Managers often supervise a team of maintenance, security, and other staff.

• Managing budgets:

  They are responsible for planning and managing the property's budget.

• Coordinating repairs and maintenance:

  This involves scheduling and overseeing repairs, renovations, and maintenance work.

• Ensuring safety and security:

  This includes implementing and maintaining security systems, fire prevention measures, and emergency plans.

• Communicating with tenants:

  Building Managers are the primary point of contact for tenants and must address their concerns and complaints promptly.

• Other Potential Responsibilities:

  Liaising with contractors: Managing relationships and contracting with external contractors for repairs and services.

  Building and service audits: Performing regular audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

  Preparing maintenance budgets: Developing and managing the building's maintenance budget.

  Communication: Maintaining clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including tenants, contractors, and property owners.

  Problem-solving: Addressing and resolving issues that arise in the building promptly and effectively.

  Demonstrating basic maintenance skills: Being able to perform basic maintenance tasks and troubleshoot minor issues.

  Maintaining security operations: Ensuring the security of the building and its occupants.
