Role Description The Building Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in Hurstville, NSW, responsible for the day-to-day management and presentation of a residential and/or commercial building. This role oversees building operations, coordinates maintenance and repairs, and ensures that facilities, common areas, and essential services are functioning safely and efficiently. The Building Manager will conduct regular inspections, manage contractors and service providers, monitor compliance with building and safety regulations, and respond promptly to resident and client enquiries. Daily tasks include tracking maintenance requests, supporting budget and cost control processes, keeping accurate records, and reporting issues and improvements to owners, strata managers, and internal stakeholders. The role also involves fostering positive relationships within the community, promoting high standards of customer service, and contributing to a safe, well-maintained environment aligned with Delux’s service values.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Building Management and Facility Management (FM) to oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate services, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to engage effectively with residents, owners, strata managers, contractors, and internal teams, both verbally and in writing.
• Candidates should possess Building Maintenance skills to identify issues, prioritize repairs, and supervise maintenance activities across common areas and essential building systems.
• Candidates should possess Budgeting skills to assist with cost control, monitor expenditure, and support planning for maintenance and capital works.
• Relevant experience in residential or commercial building management, strata or facilities management, or a related property services environment.
• Knowledge of safety, compliance, and WHS requirements, with the ability to implement and monitor safe work practices.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
• Proficiency in using building management software and standard office applications for reporting, record-keeping, and communication.
