Building Services Engineer (All levels)

About the Role

We are seeking a Building Services Engineer to support the delivery of building construction projects by coordinating and supervising building services works across all project phases. The successful candidate will ensure that MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Services, and related building systems) installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise on-site building services works to ensure successful project execution.
• Monitor construction progress, workmanship quality, and safety performance while ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and project requirements.
• Review construction drawings, shop drawings, technical submissions, method statements, testing and commissioning plans, and material approvals related to building services systems.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams to resolve technical and site-related issues.
• Conduct site inspections to verify work quality, installation compliance, and project progress.
• Support project planning, scheduling, reporting, testing and commissioning, handover, and project close-out activities.
• Ensure coordination between building services installations and other construction disciplines to minimize clashes and delays.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure works are executed according to approved drawings and project timelines.
• Assist in identifying project risks and implementing corrective actions to maintain progress and quality targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in building construction projects.
• Experience in large-scale commercial, residential, mixed-use, healthcare, hospitality, data center, or infrastructure developments is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building services systems, construction methodologies, site supervision, quality control, and safety requirements.
• Familiarity with MEP coordination, testing and commissioning, and authority compliance processes.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Experience working with a main contractor or large construction company is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing & Drainage (P&D), Fire Services, ELV, or Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Experience using AutoCAD, BIM/Revit, or other construction coordination platforms is an advantage.
• Knowledge of local building regulations and construction standards.
