Building Site Labourer

Duties

• Assist with the preparation and clearing of construction sites to ensure a safe working environment
• Load, unload, and organize materials and equipment needed for daily tasks
• Support skilled tradespeople by carrying tools, supplies, and assisting with basic tasks
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards across the site by disposing of waste and debris properly
• Help with setting up scaffolding, barricades, and safety signage as directed
• Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations
• Participate in site inspections and report any hazards or issues to supervisors promptly

Requirements

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
• Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work well within a team
• Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures is preferred but not mandatory
• Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site on time each day
• Prior experience in construction or labouring roles is a plus but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
