BULK OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR – TRANSPORT & DEPOT

About the Role

Our client are seeking a hands-on Bulk Operations Supervisor to coordinate daily transport, yard and depot operations across there NSW Operations

Working closely with the National Operations Manager and the Melbourne-based Bulk Division team, you’ll oversee drivers, yard staff and subcontractors to ensure deliveries, loading, transfers and repacking activities run safely, efficiently and on time.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced transport environment and enjoys leading a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transport schedules, job allocations and driver movements.
• Organise vehicle preloading, freight movements, repacks and transfers.
• Supervise drivers, yard staff, labour hire and subcontractors.
• Ensure vehicles, equipment and freight are handled safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised yard with effective traffic flow.
• Prepare and maintain transport paperwork, manifests, run sheets and proof of delivery records.
• Monitor delivery performance, productivity, costs and operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management and load restraint requirements.
• Communicate with customers, drivers and internal teams to resolve delays and operational challenges.

About You

You’re an organised, practical leader who can manage competing priorities, make decisions under pressure and keep daily operations running smoothly.

You will ideally have:

• Experience in transport, logistics, depot, yard, warehouse or fleet operations.
• At least 2–3 years’ supervisory or leading hand experience.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Good computer skills, including transport management systems and Microsoft Office.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety and operational compliance.
• A current Australian driver’s licence.

Highly regarded: Forklift or HC truck licence, bulk transport experience, and knowledge of NHVR requirements and Chain of Responsibility.
